E-MERGING

Invited by the professional team at UAL (LCC) TV, Jiyuan collaborated with UAL (CSM) installation artist Yan Ran as a dance artist to create a live performance piece.

In this collaboration, we confronted the issue of climate change. With the continued destruction of the oceans and the ecological imbalance, the relationship between humans and nature has fallen into a more malignant state. When we thought about where to get a solution, we went back to the primitive and simple naturalistic philosophy of the East. We try to access a deeper and more powerful energy in a more ancient wisdom.

Ultimately, we seek a sense of unity with the body through the use of disorienting images, to give us options and answers to our questions.
